Special Points for Ontario Residents
On April 1 st, 1994 the Ministry of Health of the Province of Ontario de-insured in vitro fertilization for all infertile couples except those with the diagnosis of bilaterally blocked tubes.
Anyone who does not have bilateral blocked tubes is required to absorb all the costs, including consultations, blood tests and ultrasounds, as these fees are no longer covered by OHIP.
Patients who have bilateral blocked tubes qualify for treatment at the LIFE Program, at a considerably reduced rated. (please refer to the schedule of fees for cost)
